Arizona Army National Guard: $498K to Protect Training Sites
As a result of a $498K OLDCC Compatible Use investment, Pinal County is incorporating recommendations to minimize and mitigate encroachment on military missions into the county’s 2021 Comprehensive Plan. Recommendations include pursuing conservation/buffer zones, increasing interagency coordination, and executing airspace usage strategies to protect the missions at the Florence Military Reservation, Silver Bell Army Heliport, including the Western Army National Guard Aviation Training Site, and Picacho Peak Stagefield from encroachment.
